Who is Trade4Food for?

Trade4Food serves producers, distributors and retailers with excess stock they want to sell. It also serves buyers such as wholesalers, food‑service, industry, exporters and market traders looking for a changing range at competitive prices.

What products do you trade?

We trade a wide range of food products, including drinks, sweet and savoury snacks, meal products like pasta and noodles, and personal‑care & cosmetics. The assortment is constantly changing.

How does the purchasing‑and‑sales process work?

We buy excess stock directly from our partners, arrange transport, close a suitable deal within our network and sell the products to the right buyer, adapting the product if the customer requires.

Are the products safe and of good quality?

Yes. All products comply with applicable legislation and are carefully inspected. Transparency about origin, shelf life and specifications is central. Often the products belong to third parties.

How fast can you deliver?

Thanks to short lines and an efficient logistics process we can often act quickly. Lead times depend on the product and destination, but speed is always a key factor because we frequently deal with fresh goods. Time is key.

Is the range always the same?

No, the range varies. That’s exactly what makes Trade4Food interesting: each partner is different and offers new opportunities.

Who arranges transport?

If desired, Trade4Food can handle transport both for purchasing and for delivery to the customer, taking the whole burden off our partners. This can be done across Europe and beyond.

Who we are

What started with one pallet on Marktplaats grew into a supplier within the food industry. We are Joost Huisman and Timo van Gulik and we launched Trade4Food in 2024 from the conviction that good food must not be wasted.


We saw the demand for affordable food rise quickly and decided to actively connect companies with excess stock to retailers. Our principle is simple: food belongs on shelves, not in containers.


Today we supply market traders, retailers, supermarket chains, local entrepreneurs and (online) wholesalers across Europe.
